...story Rory

Rory Kilbane is a qualified ISTQB Advanced Test Manager based in Dublin, Ireland. Having qualified with a BSC in Property Economics, he attended the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School at UCD and completed the Post-graduate Diploma in Business Studies, where he focused on Banking and IT. 

His working career initially took him from AIB branch banking to software testing for Irish Intercontinental Bank. A further movement to Deutsche Bank ensued and then on to Citibank where he worked in Cash Management before moving into Call Center design and operations. He returned to AIB in 2000 to join their System Test department as a tester. 

Rory became a key contributor to the development of the System Test function in AIB, from initiating their first professional testing certification (ISTB), to defect tracking software analysis and test process re-design. He moved on to leading test teams on core banking and payment systems and enhanced his range of experience as web-based channels emerged. He created and ran the Internet Business Banking QA team for a number of years. He concluded his work in AIB in 2018 as QA Operations Manager, Dublin where he had operational responsibility for the hiring, structure and motivation of a team of 200 offshore and onshore QA professionals.
